10Micron Baader OMS-Nano Remote Switch

The Baader OMS-Nano V2 is a network-operated remote switch for 10Micron mounts with Control Box V1/QCI or V2. It actuates the mount’s external on/off-switch input so an observatory operator can start or shut down the mount remotely.

Network operation

The module joins the local LAN and is accessed through its assigned IP address using a web browser. It is preconfigured for the supported 10Micron arrangement. USB is used for network configuration or firmware updates; normal operation uses the network cable.

Switch behaviour and controller version

The OMS-Nano sends a momentary signal for a few seconds rather than maintaining a permanent connection. The maker describes the EXT SWITCH jack contacts as parallel to the mount’s front rocker switch. This 2455031 V2 product must not be confused with the separate 2455032 OMS-Nano V3.

Supplied equipment

The manufacturer lists a 12 V power adapter, 1 m mount connection cable, 3 m LAN cable, 2 m USB cable and instructions. Published net weight is 0.21 kg. It is a remote switch interface, not a multi-outlet power-distribution controller.
