10Micron GM1000 / AZ1000 Half Pillar

The 10Micron 10M1012 half pillar raises the mount by 130 mm to increase clearance between the optics and tripod or pier. This is particularly useful for long optical tubes whose rear accessories can approach the supporting legs.

Construction and fit

The component is CNC-machined aluminium with a black-anodised finish. It is directly compatible with the GM1000 HPS. The AZ1000 HPS needs the dedicated 10M1120 adapter; native GM compatibility does not imply direct AZ compatibility.

Cable arrangement

10Micron recommends the 10M1072 extended control-box-to-mount cable because the half pillar increases separation between the mount head and electronics. The pillar is a clearance accessory; it does not increase the mount’s instrument payload rating.

The manufacturer specifies 130 mm useful height. An unverified overall height or weight from a reseller listing is not added. AZ1000 requires its dedicated adapter.
