The Evostar 100EDX is the upgraded 100 mm ED doublet with a 700 mm focal length at f/7. The 100EDX has a new 700 mm f/7 optical configuration, distinct from the older 900 mm f/9 100ED.
The 2-inch Crayford focuser has 11:1 fine adjustment and a 2.8-inch indexed drawtube. Its 360° rotatable adapter allows the camera angle to be adjusted for framing. A 2-inch visual adapter accepts a suitable diagonal.
The internally baffled aluminium tube has a retractable dew shield, rings with a carrying handle and a 45 mm-wide mounting bar. Length is 570 mm retracted and 675 mm extended; OTA weight is 5.5 kg.
The matched 0.92× (20332) reducer/flattener is optional. Sky-Watcher specifies 40 mm image height with that corrector fitted. An aluminium carrying case is supplied; eyepiece, star diagonal and finderscope are not included.
