The CDK14 is a 356 mm Corrected Dall-Kirkham astrograph with a 2563 mm focal length. The design has no off-axis coma or astigmatism and a flat field, for sharp stars to the edge of large sensors.
Fused silica mirrors with low thermal expansion and a carbon fibre truss tube minimise focus shift during long sessions. Backplate fans speed thermal equilibrium, and mirror heater pads are ready for the Delta-T controller.
