The ASI662MC is an uncooled colour astronomy camera built around the Sony IMX662. Its 5.568 × 3.132 mm sensor records 1920 × 1080 pixels with 2.9 µm sampling.
The manufacturer specifies a 12-bit ADC, 38,200-electron full well, 91% peak quantum efficiency and read noise of 0.8–6.9 (1.22 at 19 dB gain) electrons. Capture speed is 107.6 fps advertised maximum. Smaller regions of interest can increase frame rate; speed depends on ADC mode, output format, exposure and connection.
One-shot colour capture records colour during a single imaging sequence. High-speed video allows short exposures and frame selection for lunar and planetary imaging.
The USB connection supplies power and transfers images. The camera uses a M42 × 0.75 interface, with 12.5 mm sensor spacing. Its 21 × 1.1 mm AR-coated window protects the sensor. The body is 62 mm in diameter and weighs 126 g. Match optical adapters and any external filter to the required telescope spacing.
