The Wave 150i is a portable strain-wave mount for equatorial or alt-azimuth operation. Sky-Watcher lists a 15 kg payload without counterweight and 25 kg with the optional 5 kg counterweight kit. The manual gives a 5.8 kg head weight.
The mount has a 0–90° latitude range, RA power-off braking and RA/DEC home functions. The manual specifies a 7.5°/s maximum slew speed. Strain-wave drives reduce the need for counterweights, but the tripod must remain stable and the manufacturer’s torque limits still apply.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support app control; SynScan Pro or an optional SynScan handset can be used. The 150i adds through-mount cabling and saddle-side USB/auxiliary power connections. Auxiliary power connectors are 5.5 × 2.5 mm and limited to 5 A; do not confuse them with a different power-input socket.
This is the head-only configuration; tripod, pier extension and counterweight kit are separate. The 150i manual specifies 12–16 V DC and a supply above 35 W. The AC power supply is not included.
