The Evostar 150EDX is the upgraded 150 mm ED doublet with a 1200 mm focal length at f/8. It combines a low-dispersion objective with MHTC coatings for imaging and visual astronomy.
The CNC rack-and-pinion focuser has 11:1 fine adjustment and a 3-inch indexed drawtube. Its 360° rotatable adapter allows the camera angle to be adjusted for framing. A 2-inch visual adapter accepts a suitable diagonal.
The internally baffled aluminium tube has a retractable dew shield, rings with a carrying handle and a 75 mm-wide mounting bar. Length is 1067 mm retracted and 1250 mm extended; OTA weight is 9.68 kg.
The matched 0.77× (20333) reducer/flattener is optional. Sky-Watcher specifies 44 mm image height with that corrector fitted. An aluminium carrying case is supplied; eyepiece, star diagonal and finderscope are not included.
