The Askar SQA130 is a 130 mm f/4.8 astrograph with a 624 mm focal length. Its five-element air-spaced Petzval system uses two SD elements and covers a 55 mm image circle, including full-frame sensors.
The native self-flattened design requires no additional flattener. Askar specifies a 46–76 mm connection range with 55 mm recommended. The supplied M48, M54 and M68 adapters allow different camera-train interfaces. The connection range is an allowance for reaching focus, rather than a requirement to use every adapter.
A 3.2-inch dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser provides 30 mm travel. The graduated 360° rotator has an enlarged locking screw. Two finder bases, a slotted multifunction handle and M4/M6 holes on the integrated tube ring provide accessory positions. The bottom plate is a 300 mm Losmandy-style dovetail.
The retractable dew shield changes length from 650 to 764 mm. Askar specifies 9.18 kg OTA and 11.76 kg including mounting hardware. The Oxford cloth case has space for an optional electronic-focuser installation. The package includes the OTA, M48/M54/M68 adapters, case and documentation.
