The Evolux 82ED combines a 82 mm ED doublet objective with a 530 mm focal length for a portable wide-field refractor. Its air-spaced optical design is intended for astrophotography and visual observing, with MHTC coatings to improve light transmission and control reflections.
The 2.4-inch rack-and-pinion focuser provides coarse adjustment and an 11:1 fine-focus control. A clamshell ring and 45 mm mounting bar secure the tube; the adjustable dew shield reduces the transport length.
A dedicated 0.9× reducer/field flattener is available separately. That corrector includes an ED element and a field-rotation adapter; its optical characteristics must not be applied to the uncorrected telescope.
The OTA weighs 2.92 kg and measures 425 mm with the dew shield retracted or 580 mm extended. A foam-lined aluminium case is supplied.
