Askar 103APO

The Askar 103APO is a 103 mm aperture refractor with a 700.4 mm focal length at f/6.8. Its air-spaced triplet objective contains one ED element and is designed for colour-corrected visual observing and astronomical imaging.

Focus and camera orientation

The 3.3-inch rack-and-pinion focuser provides dual-speed adjustment and 100 mm graduated travel. The rear graduated 360° rotator has a separate locking screw for setting the field angle. Two finder bases provide positions for a finder, guidescope or other compatible accessories.

Optical configurations

The rear tube section is detachable for the dedicated 0.6× reducer. Its optional 1× flattener, 0.8× reducer and 0.6× reducer are separate components with their own spacing requirements. The rear visual assembly accepts 2-inch and 1.25-inch accessories.

Mounting and transport

The telescope has a retractable dew shield, mounting rings, a multifunction handle and a 290 mm Vixen-style dovetail. Published weights distinguish the bare OTA from the complete mounting assembly; use the full imaging-train weight when selecting a mount. The standard package and the exact length configurations are listed below. A camera, diagonal, eyepieces and electronic focuser are separate accessories.
