This dedicated 0.7× reducer makes the EdgeHD 9.25 one full f-stop faster, from f/10 to f/7, halving exposure times and increasing the field of view by 43%. Its four-element design, with extra-low-dispersion and lanthanum elements, maintains the EdgeHD's flat field.
The reducer threads directly onto the EdgeHD's 3.25-inch rear thread, which reduces mechanical vignetting and allows full-frame sensors and off-axis guiders. Lens elements up to 60 mm clear aperture keep the optimised image circle at 42 mm. Back focus stays at 146 mm, the same as at f/10, so existing EdgeHD T-adapters still work.
