The Celestron Reducer/Corrector reduces the focal length and focal ratio of a standard Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain by 37% (0.63×), turning an f/10 SCT into an f/6.3 instrument while also correcting the field. You gain a wider field of view and shorter exposures, giving you a dual-focal-ratio telescope without sacrificing image quality.
Celestron designs it for its Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes: C5, C6, C8, C9.25, C11 and C14. It is not for EdgeHD optical tubes, which need their own dedicated 0.7× reducer, and not for Maksutov, refractor or Newtonian telescopes.
