Integrated field correction removes the need for an external flattener in the native configuration. Askar permits a 41–66 mm camera connection distance and recommends 55 mm. Bring the completed train into focus within that range. The rear M48×0.75 adapter has a built-in 2-inch filter thread; an 82 mm front thread accepts photographic filters.
The dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser offers 25 mm of graduated travel and provisions for an optional electronic focuser. A lockable 360° rotator handles framing. Two finder bases, a multifunction handle and a 290 mm Vixen-style dovetail support accessories and mounting. Fit the stepped side of the tube ring towards the focuser, as shown in the manual.
The fixed lens hood keeps the overall length at the published 283 mm. OTA weight is 2.79 kg, or 3.54 kg with rings and dovetail. The standard package includes the M48-equipped OTA, Oxford cloth case and documentation. Motorised focusing equipment is optional.
