FocusCube v3 combines a geared stepper motor and focus controller in one compact unit. Power and position control
A single USB-C connection provides 5 V power and USB 2.0 communication. The manual specifies 900 mA during movement and 80–120 mA at idle, depending on Wi-Fi use. The geared motor is driven in 0.0625-degree full steps.
USB, Wi-Fi and software
Control is available through USB, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot or a local Wi-Fi network. The browser dashboard operates alongside ASCOM, native ASCOM Alpaca, INDI, INDIGO and Unity support. An external temperature probe is included, and an optional EZY Focus controller connects to the RJ12 port.
Dimensions and supplied fittings
The manual specifies a 59 × 50 × 44 mm enclosure and 260 g for the enclosure with electronics. The package includes the universal L bracket, couplers, USB-C cable, sensor and mounting screws.
