FocusCube v3 combines a geared stepper motor and focus controller in one compact unit. Its adjustable universal bracket and five 4–8 mm shaft couplers support installation on a range of compatible telescope focusers. Pegasus rates the drive for up to 6 kg at zenith, subject to the focuser’s mechanics.
A single USB-C connection provides 5 V power and USB 2.0 communication. The manual specifies 900 mA during movement and 80–120 mA at idle, depending on Wi-Fi use. The geared motor is driven in 0.0625-degree full steps.
Control is available through USB, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot or a local Wi-Fi network. The browser dashboard operates alongside ASCOM, native ASCOM Alpaca, INDI, INDIGO and Unity support. An external temperature probe is included, and an optional EZY Focus controller connects to the RJ12 port.
