Optical and mechanical construction
The objective uses a precision aluminium cell. An aluminium tube with internal anti-reflective treatment and baffles helps suppress stray light.
Focusing
The supplied focusing arrangement is Starlight Instruments Feather Touch FTF3545; rotating; 9:1 fine reduction; 2-inch collet. TEC specifies 190 mm ±1 from the focuser reference to the focal plane; this telescope backfocus is distinct from the spacing of an optional reducer or flattener.
Dimensions and configuration
The manufacturer lists an OTA weight of 12.3 kg and a retracted/transport length of 991 mm. Accessory-loaded weights, where supplied, are shown separately in the technical table.
