Takahashi FS-60CP — 60 mm fluorite apochromat for the FU Reducer
The FS-60CP uses the same two-element fluorite apochromatic objective as Takahashi's long-running FS-60CB, in a body built for imaging. Its large M64 × 0.75 focuser and long back focus make it compatible with the dedicated 60CP FU Reducer 0.65×, which turns it into a 230 mm f/3.8 astrograph covering a 44 mm image circle.
Fluorite doublet optics
The air-spaced doublet objective puts a fluorite element at the front for sharp, high-contrast, colour-free images. At prime focus the telescope has a 355 mm focal length at f/5.9.
Imaging configurations
The FS-60CP works with the current FS-series correctors as well as its dedicated reducer:
60CP FU Reducer 0.65× (exclusive to the FS-60CP): 230 mm, f/3.8, 44 mm image circle. This four-element reducer includes a fluorite lens.
FS-60C Reducer NC 0.85×: 300 mm, f/5.0, 44 mm image circle.
Extender CQ1.7×: 600 mm, f/10.
FC/FS Multi-Flattener 1.04×: requires the separate Multi CA Ring 65D.
Visual use
Because of its long back focus, the FS-60CP will not reach infinity focus on its own. For visual observing, Takahashi specifies a 50.8 mm diagonal mirror, a 31.7 MC diagonal prism or a 50.8 extension tube, sold separately. A 6×30 finder is recommended and sold separately.

FS-60CP, not the FS-60CB or FS-60Q. Same objective as FS-60CB but M64x0.75 focuser, 63 mm stroke and long back focus. No visual infinity focus without 50.8 diagonal, 31.7 MC prism or 50.8 extension tube. 60CP FU Reducer 0.65x is exclusive to the CP. Multi-Flattener 1.04x needs Multi CA Ring 65D. Catalogue lists f/6.2 in one table (flattened config) and f/5.9 native; native f/5.9 used.
