Askar 130PHQ

The Askar 130PHQ combines a 130 mm aperture with 1000 mm focal length at f/7.7. Its air-spaced quadruplet optical system contains two ED elements and incorporates field correction for a 60 mm image circle.

Imaging and visual use

At native focal length the optical system does not need an additional field flattener or a single prescribed flattener-to-sensor spacing. Connect the camera within the published accessory-connection limit and bring the target into focus. The connection allowance changes with the chosen rear adapter. Visual use is also supported with a suitable diagonal and eyepiece.

Focusing and camera orientation

A 3.4-inch rack-and-pinion focuser provides coarse adjustment and 1:10 fine focusing. The graduated 360° rotator lets you frame the target without turning the complete telescope. Threaded photographic adapters provide the interfaces listed below, including an internal M48×0.75 filter thread.

Mounting and supplied equipment

The telescope has a retractable dew shield, tube rings, a multifunction handle and a 300 mm Losmandy-style dovetail plate. The technical table separates bare-OTA weight from weight with mounting hardware. A matching 0.7× reducer is optional and has its own connection and spacing requirements; it is not part of the standard native optical system.

Compatibility notes

Lengths and 13 kg mounted weight follow the current product technical table. The linked manual gives 12.5 kg and assigns some length configurations differently. Current product-table values are retained; 1:10 fine adjustment is also published on the manufacturer 130PHQ HOT-SELLERS-4 page.
