DX focuser and mounting
The DX package adds a 3.4-inch Helinear rack-and-pinion focuser with dual-speed adjustment, together with tube rings and a D-style dovetail. This is the larger-focuser configuration and must not be confused with the original standard ED or newer EDX.
Tube and imaging
The Black Diamond aluminium tube is internally baffled to control stray light. A foam-lined aluminium case is supplied. A matching corrector is optional; camera spacing must follow that corrector’s instructions rather than the specifications of the newer EDX model.
US manufacturer DX page and branded Australia catalogue consistently identify 3.4-inch rack-and-pinion focuser. Japanese page conflicts between prose (3-inch rack-and-pinion) and table (2-inch Crayford); those mechanical entries and regional masses are not combined.
