Baader M54 Camera Tilter

The Baader M54 tilter provides up to 1 degree of camera-plane adjustment to compensate for tilt in the imaging train. It is designed for the compatible Baader M54 system.

Optical spacing and diameter

The exact manufacturer specification gives an optical length range of 9.50–10.25 mm and an outer diameter of 78 mm. Include this variable optical length in the camera-spacing budget when setting the tilter.

Connection arrangement

The camera side is M54 × 0.75 male. The telescope-side interface is M54 × 0.75 female. Tilt correction changes camera alignment; it does not replace setting the correct reducer or flattener backfocus.

Exact named tilter range is 9.50–10.25 mm with 0–1° adjustment. Catalogue optical-length buckets are not treated as the exact range. For M48, the manufacturer lists both internal and external lens-side provisions; no additional adapter package is inferred.
