The Baader variable T-2 extension combines adjustable spacing with a counter ring for locking rotational orientation. The nominal adjustment range is 12–16 mm; the manufacturer also lists a 10 mm configuration within the three-part assembly.

T-2 connections

The published connections are M42 × 0.75 male on the telescope side and M42 × 0.75 female on the camera side. The assembly can also act as a T-2 thread-inversion arrangement. Its stated inner diameter is 39 mm and outer diameter is 49 mm.

Rotational setting

The T-2 counter ring allows a connected camera or accessory to be locked in the desired rotational position. Select the assembly configuration and optical length before tightening the lock ring; the 10 mm figure is not an additional extension on top of the nominal range.
