This legacy v2 kit motorises the primary-mirror focusing mechanism of a Celestron C14 SCT. Its geared stepper motor drives the focuser through a timing belt, allowing the motor to sit away from equipment behind the telescope.
The motor uses 120:1 reduction with a nominal output step of 0.0625°. Published ratings are 12 V DC and 0.27 A. The motor, SCT adapter, pulley and belt together weigh 300 g.
This version uses a 22 mm pulley bore and M4 × 40 mm telescope fixing bolts. The kit contains the motor, anodised aluminium bracket, belt, pulley and bolts. Adjust the bracket position to tension the belt as described in the installation guide.
