QHY600 Pro I Mono SBFL

The QHY600 Pro I Mono SBFL is a cooled monochrome astronomy camera using Sony IMX455. The scientific Pro I platform combines full-frame IMX455 imaging with dual 10 Gigabit fibre and USB 3.0 interfaces. This is the air-cooled SBFL Pro I configuration, with a 138 mm body and 14.5 mm backfocus. Camera Link belongs to Pro II and liquid cooling belongs to LQ variants.

Sensor readout and image transfer

QHY’s published ADC specification is Native 16-bit (0-65535 greyscale) A/D. A 2 GB DDR3 image buffer supports downloads through USB 3.0; dual 10 Gigabit fibre. Monochrome capture supports separate luminance, RGB and narrowband filter exposures. Full-frame and region-of-interest rates depend on readout mode and output format; the table below preserves those conditions.

Cooling and dew control

Manufacturer cooling specification: Dual Stage TEC cooler: – Long exposures (> 1 second) Typically -35℃ below ambient – Short exposure (< 1second) high FPS, Typically -30℃ below ambient(Test temperature +20℃). Cooling reduces thermal signal during long exposures, and performance depends on ambient conditions and capture rate. The camera has a protective-window heater and an internal humidity sensor.

Optical connections

The listed interface is 2-inch, M54, M48 or Nikon/Canon lens using the manufacturer-specified adapters, with backfocus of 14.5 mm, SBFL version. The short-backfocus body leaves additional room for filter wheels and adapter systems.

Power and software

Use an external 12 V supply before connecting the USB data cable. QHY’s operating guide specifies 11–13.8 V at the camera; cable voltage drop must be included in the power budget. QHY Pro operating guide specifies the official 12 V 6 A power adapter Install the matching QHY All-in-One driver/SDK and compatible capture software.

Compatibility notes

Use the named-model manufacturer connection diagram and the backfocus reference for the selected adapter. Readout mode and output format affect frame rate, noise and full-well capacity.
