The Askar FMA180 PRO is a 40 mm f/4.5 astrograph with a 180 mm focal length and a 44 mm image circle. Its six-element air-spaced system uses a three-plus-three lens arrangement with two ED elements.
The PRO version adds internal focusing, a finder base and a 360° rotator. These mechanical features distinguish it from the original FMA180 and help keep the assembled imaging system compact while focusing and framing.
The rear M48×0.75 adapter includes a built-in 2-inch filter thread. Askar specifies 55 mm camera backfocus for this model. Its built-in rear optical group is part of the photographic system; the original FMA180’s removable-extension arrangements should not be substituted.
A 150 mm Vixen-style dovetail provides mounting support. After the plate is removed, the multifunction bracket can fit a telescope finder base for finder or guidescope use. The published length is 167.5 mm and weight including mounting hardware is 0.8 kg. The standard package is the PRO OTA and documentation; camera and motor-focusing accessories are separate.
