Celestron EdgeHD 8 OTA (CGE dovetail)

8" EdgeHD aplanatic optical tube, 2032 mm f/10, CGE (Losmandy-style) dovetail bar.

EdgeHD is Celestron's aplanatic, flat-field Schmidt-Cassegrain. It corrects off-axis coma and gives a focal plane more than three times flatter than a standard SCT, so stars stay sharp to the edge of large camera sensors. Mirror clutches reduce image shift during long exposures, filtered vents release warm air from behind the primary, and every tube is star-tested with a camera before it ships. Use it at native f/10, at f/7 with the matching EdgeHD 0.7× reducer, or at f/2 with third-party Fastar accessories.
