Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory (first edition)

6-inch f/2.2 RASA smart telescope with built-in IMX178 colour camera, GoTo mount and tripod. First-edition model (Celestron 12099), now replaced at Celestron by the Mark II.

Celestron Origin is an all-in-one 'intelligent home observatory': a 6-inch f/2.2 RASA optical tube with a built-in colour camera, Raspberry Pi computer, autofocus, automatic dew heater and integrated LiFePO4 battery, on a computerised GoTo alt-azimuth mount and tripod. Control it from the Celestron Origin app on a phone or tablet: it aligns itself, finds targets and stacks and processes images live. Raw files can be copied off over USB for your own processing. An integrated filter drawer accepts 1.25" or 2" filters.
