This 80 mm FPL53 air-spaced triplet has a 480 mm focal length and f/6 focal ratio. It is intended for visual astronomy and astrophotography with the appropriate camera train.
Focusing and mechanical design
The 2.5-inch RAP focuser has 75 mm travel, a 5 kg accessory rating and M63/M68 female threads. The aluminium tube measures 375 mm with the dew shield retracted or 435 mm extended.
Imaging configuration
A matched corrector is optional for flat stars across a large sensor. In the stated TSFlat25DEL configuration the M48-to-sensor spacing is 65 mm, rather than a universal 55 mm. Fine-focus gearing differs between the source table and prose; see the qualification.
Manufacturer technical table states 1:11 fine gearing; prose states 1:10. Table retained with discrepancy explicit. TSFlat25DEL spacing of 65 mm is specific to the described adapter configuration, not universal 55 mm.
