Esprit 60EDX — 60/360 triplet apochromat

The Esprit 60EDX uses a 60 mm triplet objective with a Hoya FCD100 ED element and MHTC coatings. Its 360 mm focal length and f/6 optical system are intended for detailed imaging and visual observing with the appropriate accessories.

Focusing and camera rotation

A CNC-machined hybrid rack-and-pinion linear-power focuser provides 11:1 fine adjustment and a 2.75-inch indexed drawtube. The main focuser is fixed, while the drawtube adapter rotates through 360° for framing.

Tube, mounting and transport

The aluminium tube is internally baffled and uses a fixed dew shield. CNC aluminium mounting ring(s), a carrying handle and a 45 mm-wide dovetail are supplied. The OTA weighs 2.6 kg and measures 340 mm.

Field correction and accessories

A matched three-element 1.0× M48 field flattener is included for imaging at f/6. A three-element 0.75× M48 reducer/flattener is optional for f/4.5 imaging. The manufacturer lists a 43.2 mm image height. A soft carrying case is supplied. Eyepiece, diagonal and finderscope are not included.
