This dedicated 0.7× reducer makes the EdgeHD 800 one full f-stop faster, from f/10 to f/7, halving the exposure needed for the same brightness and widening the field. Its custom four-element design keeps the flat-field performance of the EdgeHD optics.
The reducer provides 105 mm of optimum back focus, enough for cameras and imaging accessories, and works with existing EdgeHD 800 T-adapters. With this reducer, Celestron states that the optimised image circle is 26.7 mm, which fully covers APS-C sensors and smaller cameras.
