The EQ8-series pier tripod provides a freestanding support for the EQ8-R and EQ8-RH mount heads. Sky-Watcher’s current accessory listing also identifies compatibility with the CQ350 head.

Height and levelling

The EQ8-R family manual gives a tripod weight of 29.4 kg and an adjustable height of 800–1100 mm. Heavy-duty levelling pads allow the support to be levelled at the observing site.

Support selection
