TS-Optics Maxfield 0.95× 2-inch coma corrector

The Maxfield is a three-element modified Wynne coma corrector for Newtonians of f/4 and slower. It slightly reduces the focal length by a factor of 0.95×. The manufacturer requires at least 60 mm native focuser backfocus.

Camera spacing

Use 55 mm from the M48 × 0.75 camera thread to the sensor. The camera thread is 4.5 mm long; a 2-inch filter thread is provided.

Field and fit

The manufacturer specifies full illumination to 35 mm diameter and a corrected usable field to 45 mm with 93% illumination. The 2-inch insertion barrel is 72 mm long; its removable stop ring is 65 mm across. Weight is approximately 230 g.
