10Micron PEGASUS Wooden Tripod

The 10Micron PEGASUS tripod is designed for the GM2000 / AZ2000 mount family. Its manufacturer table specifies 17 kg tripod weight, an operating height range of 97–108 cm, and a 135 kg tripod support rating.

Structure and levelling

The construction uses protectively treated beech wood; black-anodised aluminium extensions. The adjustment arrangement is extendible legs; 80 mm polymer feet on spherical heads, providing levelling and height adjustment at the observing site.

Mounting and total load

The head diameter is 230 mm. The support rating applies to the tripod’s complete supported load, including the mount head and counterweights as well as instrumentation. It is separate from the mount’s own telescope capacity. For maximum GM2000 payload configurations, 10Micron recommends the CENTAURUS II rather than the wooden PEGASUS.

Equipment and transport

A 10Micron padded transport bag and accessory tray are included. Mount, counterweights and telescope are separate equipment.
