EvoGuide 50ED — 50/242 with dovetail

The EvoGuide 50ED is a compact 50 mm ED guide telescope with a 242 mm focal length and f/4.8 focal ratio. Its low-dispersion objective offers improved colour correction in a portable guidescope format.

Focus and camera use

Helical focusing provides fine adjustment for a guide camera. The manufacturer’s dovetail-equipped 50ED II configuration accepts a 31.7 mm camera nosepiece or T-mount connection.

Mounting configuration

The dovetail-equipped manufacturer configuration includes a 43 mm-wide mounting bar and finder-bracket foot. Sky-Watcher Japan specifies approximately 1 kg with the dovetail fitted.

Optional imaging correction

The dedicated EvoGuide 50ED field flattener is a separate accessory. Sky-Watcher Japan lists an approximately 28 mm corrected field with this flattener.
