This regional package combines the Wave 100i strain-wave mount with Sky-Watcher’s carbon-fibre Wave tripod. The head supports equatorial and alt-azimuth operation, app control through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, RA power-off braking and RA/DEC home functions.

Mount and support

The head’s published instrument capacity is 10 kg without a counterweight or 15 kg with the optional 5 kg counterweight. The supplied tripod weighs 2.4 kg, folds to 500 mm and extends to 747 mm. Its 20 kg load limit covers the mount plus equipment; every component limit must be respected.

Package and power

The package lists the mount, carbon tripod, illuminated bubble level, cigarette-lighter power lead, hard case and manual. A counterweight kit and mains supply are optional. Use the manufacturer manual’s electrical and slew specifications in the technical table.

Exact regional bundle SW0488 contains the Wave 100i head and Wave carbon-fibre tripod. The tripod's 20 kg rating includes the mount and equipment; it is not a 20 kg instrument allowance. Manual values retained where marketing differs in slew speed and power, and head mass (4.2 kg manual versus 4.3 kg marketing). Seller total 7.7 kg conflicts with listed component masses and is omitted. Optional counterweight and mains power supply are not included.
