Moravian C1-3000 — compact global-shutter CMOS camera (IMX252, mono)
The Moravian C1-3000 is a small, lightweight monochrome camera for autoguiding, lunar and planetary imaging, and short-exposure deep-sky work. It uses Sony's IMX252 global-shutter CMOS sensor, so every pixel is exposed at the same moment, and its response to light is linear almost to saturation, making it usable for photometry and variable-star work.
Flexible read modes
The C1-3000 offers both 12-bit and 8-bit read modes, with analogue gain from 0 to 24 dB. In 12-bit mode at 0 dB, full well is 11,000 e− with 2.2 e− read noise. (The C1-3000A version offers 12-bit only.)
Guiding and mounting
A built-in autoguider port connects to a mount with a standard 6-wire cable; each pin sinks up to 400 mA, and a relay box is needed for mounts that switch motors directly. The camera is supplied with a CS-mount adapter (12.5 mm back focus) and a T-thread M42 × 0.75 adapter (18.5 mm back focus), so it fits in place of an eyepiece in almost any telescope. The C1 head also has a tripod thread and a cooling fan.
