This Baader T-ring connects a Canon EOS EF DSLR camera body to the Astro T-2 system. The camera side uses the Canon EOS EF bayonet, while the telescope side provides an M42 × 0.75 female thread.

Mechanical dimensions

The manufacturer’s table gives an optical adapter length of 11 mm, an inner diameter of 41 mm and an outer diameter of 64 mm. Its description identifies the standard 55.0 mm reference from the front T-ring support surface to the camera’s image plane.

Camera selection

Use the ring for the stated DSLR bayonet. This is a mechanical adaptation to T-2; it does not add electronic lens communication or change the telescope’s focal length. Camera-family bayonets must be matched rather than selected from the camera brand alone.
