This T-2 fine-adjustment set contains three thin aluminium spacer rings: 0.3 mm in black, 0.5 mm in red and 1 mm in gold. The rings fit between the shoulders of compatible T-2 threaded parts.
A ring slightly increases the separation at a threaded joint and changes the final rotational orientation as the joint is tightened. The thin spacer also helps prevent two threaded components from binding together.
These are unthreaded shims, not short extension tubes with male and female threads. Select the thickness to achieve the required spacing while retaining adequate thread engagement.
