Chroma's flagship LRGB set (27101) provides coordinated luminance, red, green and blue broadband filters for true-colour imaging with monochrome cameras. The four hard-sputtered filters deliver high transmission and strong out-of-band blocking for galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.
Each filter is made on a single substrate of high-grade glass with very durable hard sputtered coatings, so no lamination is needed. The coatings withstand humidity and temperature extremes and are spectrally precise in centre wavelength and bandpass. The primary filter coating is on the front face and an anti-reflection coating on the back to prevent ghosting and maximise transmission. Chroma tests its sputtered filters to relevant ISO and MIL environmental and durability specifications.
