The Askar 203APO is a 203 mm aperture refractor with a 1421 mm focal length at f/7. Its air-spaced triplet objective contains one ED element and is designed for colour-corrected visual observing and astronomical imaging.
The 3.5-inch rack-and-pinion focuser provides dual-speed adjustment and 100 mm graduated travel. The rear graduated 360° rotator has a separate locking screw for setting the field angle. Two finder bases provide positions for a finder, guidescope or other compatible accessories.
The integrated rear tube section extends for diagonal-and-eyepiece observing and contracts for the manufacturer’s binoviewer arrangement. The refractor is supplied as an OTA; no integral flat-field corrector or reducer is claimed. The rear visual assembly accepts 2-inch and 1.25-inch accessories.
The telescope has a retractable dew shield, mounting rings, a multifunction handle and a 500 mm Losmandy-style dovetail. Published weights distinguish the bare OTA from the complete mounting assembly; use the full imaging-train weight when selecting a mount. The standard package and the exact length configurations are listed below. A camera, diagonal, eyepieces and electronic focuser are separate accessories.
